I am trying my hand on ethereal since a week but it does not work on my system, so plz help me. 

      I am using window-xp on my system
i had downloaded the the ethereal V-0.9.1.3, before installing it i have installed winpcap v-3.01-a, after doing so, it does'nt capturing packets, when i use internet by modem. The installation process goes straight forward and don't show any error.
Am i missing any thing here for correct installation, or it does not capture live packets by modem or (PPP connection). 


I am looking for earliest response.
