I believe the Windows drivers for the Aironet cards don't support promiscuous mode, which would result in a limited ability to capture with that card.  Notably, the Linux drivers for this card aren't any better.

Even without promiscuous mode support, you should see broadcast and multicast traffic on the Aironet interface.  Did you try to capture for a few minutes, or only a few seconds?
