I think you meant "first article below" - the second one just mentions
that he has an experimental STREAMS module that implements BPF filtering
(if he has source, I'm going to send it to Brent Callahan at Sun, and,
if he doesn't have source, I'm going to ask him to send it to Brent, so
that Solaris can finally get a damn BPF filter in its kernel - and, in
either case, encourage Rick to get his thing into HP-UX).

What the first article says on that topic is

	BTW, before you have to make a follow-up post, you will find
	that unless you have the latest lan common/DLPI/driver patches
	installed, you will _not_ see the system's own outbound traffic.
