I would not miss these files if they were removed from CVS. All developers
would need to have automake/autoconf/autoheaders installed on their
development computers, however. 

Butald would have to create "configure" for his tarball releases
because we can't require ethereal users to have the auto* scripts on
their computers just to compile ethereal.
