Wireshark Superusers,

Pardon the second email on this.  I sent the first without a title so it may have been dropped by your SPAM filters.

Thank you.

George

Wireshark Superusers,

I am using the new beta version of wireshark "Version 1.4.0rc2 (SVN Rev 33665 from /trunk-1.4)" on a windows XP laptop with Service Pack 3.

I like and have used the feature to manually resolve the IP addresses to a name that I determine instead of showing the IP address.  Unforutunately, if I use this feature, it does not allow me to change the resolved IP name back to an IP.  I have to close the Wireshark application to get back to seeing IPs again.

Is there a way to change the resolved IP addresses back to unresolved IP addresses without having to shut down the Wireshark application? Also, is there a trick to just manually resolving a single IP address rather than the entire file?

Thanks,

George

PS.  The way that I am resolving the IPs to a host name is as follows

Have the cursor on the IP address that I wish to resolve.
right click and select "manually Resolve Adress"
type in the name that I wish the IP to resolve to
check the "enable network name resolution"
    and click OK
