Note that we do not yet have a dissector API to which I'd be willing to commit,
so including this patch does not constitute making this an official published
API.

If that's acceptable for now (eventually, we *do* want to have a published API
for plugin dissectors, but there are some changes to the current API that we'd
like to make), this patch would be OK as long as it works with any UN*X (and if
it can also work with Windows, that'd be even better).
