You must set your adapter in monitor mode first.To do that ,you need
to make sure the driver of your network adapter support it.For
example, if your adapter is IPW2100 you must update your driver to the
last version ipw2100-1.2.1 .
Then you should make sure the version of the libpcap to support it
.

Hi All,
I want to capture 802.11 WLAN packets from Ethereal. But when I tried with
NetGear wireless card, I was able to capture Ping packets
But It was not showing any WLAN packets like
1) Beacon frames
2) Authentication request/response
3) Association request/response
So please any buddy can tell me how to capture these packets.
