If by "work with dialup", you mean "capture traffic on a dialup Internet 
connection", then:

	1) if that's not working, it's almost certainly because of a problem 
with your OS or with the version of libpcap/WinPcap you have, *not* with 
Ethereal, so it's almost certain that it can't be fixed by a patch to 
Ethereal, it'd require libpcap/WinPcap changes or OS changes;

	2) therefore, we'd need to know what OS you're using in order to answer 
your question;

	3) if the OS is some version of Windows, and you're using a version of 
WinPcap before the final 3.1 release, try un-installing whatever version 
of WinPcap you're using now and installing WinPcap 3.1, as that has 
improved support for PPP links (including dialup links).
