Hi,

thanks a lot for your answer.
I also haven't seen such exemple. Nevermind, I will do without ;-)
I am trying to adapt the IPSEC dissector to decrypt ESP payloads, thus I need to have a Security Associations Database. I do not want to put it in a separate file. At least I want to have a few rules in the preference box ... but it takes a lot of space.

Best Regards,

Is there anyone who knows a way to add a scrollbar in the Preferences of a Protocol. Ie in fact in a dissector. I have noticed a method "scrolled_windows_new" in the gtk directory but It does not seem to work in a dissector or I misunderstood something .

Hi!

A dissector shouldn't add *any* GUI related stuff. A dissector should only register it's Preferences and let Ethereal do the stuff to display it.

If we need a scrollbar in the Preferences dialog, it should be added to the dialog code, not the dissector code.

Do we already have such an example, where the dissector needs to register that much Preferences, so it won't fit in the dialog space?
