I don’t believe it…  Finally got it to work.  I compiled with glib and gtk version 1 and (so far) no crash.  Almost all dependencies are from the HP software porting center.  Even though the atk and pango libs use glib2, the whole thing works.  I will look at the interface to the lan devices and see how that works.
