Compiled with GTK+ 1.2.10, with GLib 1.2.10, with libpcap 0.6,

For each trial, open a capture file, select Save As, provide a file

All trials result in this type of error message.

It seems strange that it the problem happens so consistenly for me.
Could there be an interaction with the X server? I've used two
different X-servers, but could try others.
In the meantime, I tried to transfer the sources to my SuSE box, but
failed to transfer data from an USB stick or USB harddisk to it :-( Very
nice SuSE feature, some weeks ago, it was still working...
As I currently don't have other access to a unx/linux box, I can't
reproduce the problem, which makes it very hard to find a solution :-(
To be honest, unfortunately this seems to be a problem in the GTK 1.2 libs,
