It looks like you need to install the floowing package:
glib-devel, gtk-devel, libtool (I've got 1.4.2 installed)

Hmm, on the other hand, it doesn't really look like they are really missing.
Can you check whether/where the following files exist on your system:
gtk.m4, glib.m4, libtool.m4?

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
