Okay, now i have a good distribution that includes
the autogen.sh :-)
I also have libtool 1.4.

When I run ./autogen.sh, I get the following errors:

[apatnaik@stimpy ethereal-2002-08-01] ./autogen.sh
Checking for python.
Using `AC_PROG_RANLIB' is rendered obsolete by `AC_PROG_LIBTOOL'
You should add the contents of
`/tools/misc/apps/libtool-1.4.2/share/aclocal/lib
tool.m4' to `aclocal.m4'.
Running ./configure with no arguments. If you wish to pass any,
please specify them on the ./autogen.sh command line.

IIRC, autogen.sh is *not* included in the distribution tarball.
Maybe we should fix that. Actually, I *will* fix that if a) I am
right with that statement and I b) don't receive negative feedback
fast :-)
The interim solution will be to use the attached autogen.sh - note:
I removed the aclocal-fallback stuff from it as it wasn't in the
last release and hope I haven't made any mistakes while doing so.

   Ciao

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
