Hi list, Hi Todd
I wrote a traditional lex/yacc parser based on the specs at
http://www.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/9629399/toc.htm. I can parse most
of the stuff in the spec, but generating stubs or code is a ways off.
Any code ready for public exposure?
I am willing to help improve it until it can generate ethereal dissectors.
Perhaps starting small, adding code to generate the .h file and an
empty skeleton .c file, ignoring any hf_* thingies for now.
I.e. generating stuff like #define SAMR_xxx 0x01
and such for the .h file and a dissector .c file
with (almost?) everything except the actual command dissectors
(or empty ones) and no hf_* fields?
Well, if you want to, I can look at what you have and contribute to
your effort if you want me to.
(unless you decide to go with Tim's perl compiler instead, though I
dont use perl myself so for that one I can not contribute anything
of any value)
best regards
ronnie sahlberg
