If I were the core ethereal developers I would seriously consider using
a license that doesn't hurt development.

The GPL is the worst thing that has ever happened for open source software,
and the sooner people realize that, the less bullshit people will have to
go through to have quality software.

PS. It's my personal belief that the GPL is so poorly written that it's
unenforcable.
