The items you seek will rely on an application and operating system, which may have limitations. I'd recommend deciding which application and operating system your final solution will be based upon. For example, using Kismet on a Linux platform has worked nicely, but there will be limitations on the NIC. Maybe look into the BackTrack set of tools at remote-exploit.org After that, perhap's search for Tom's Networking as there will be specific hardware recommendations once you find their site.
