It might be that your packet capture contains unexpected
contents, as far as the dissector is concerned. Wireshark is built to
contain such errors as good as possible.

Then verify the packet content adheres the protocol
specification. Furthermore the dissector may be lacking, which you may

Hi WireShark Users,
I am just starting to use wireshark for local network analysis.
i am seeing errors, malformed mysql malformed packet (exception
occurred).
does this mean the exception occurred in the mysql packet dissector ?
how might i drill down to get to the bottom of this error?
