Hi Mark,
Did you by any chance change the time column from "Time (as specified)" to "Custom (frame.time)"? That would explain this behavior. If this is the case, change the format of the time column in your column preferences back to "Time (as specified)".
Cheers,
Sake

Subject: [Wireshark-users] Can't Change Time Display Format
hi!
I have a problem with wireshark and ethereal that started some time back:
I cannot change the time display format. No matter what I select it always will display "Date and Time of Day".
When I switch to one of the other formats, e.g. "seconds since previous displayed packets", it gives me the progress bar and completes, but the time format stays in "Date and Time of Day".
I am running 1.2.1 + XP SP2 and seems to be a problem no matter which version I use.
This happens with captures that were captured locally as well as captures from other machines.
I see the same problem in ethereal when I launch it.
I've uninstalled winpcap, wireshark and ethereal and reinstalled 1.2.1 with same results.
I actually lost this functionality some time ago but never really needed it until now.
Please advise on a fix.

Hi,
I'm experimenting with the open80211s implementation on mesh networking. I've patched Wireshark with the mesh patch but I'm unable to see any mesh beacons. In my understanding there's no other way to browse/locate existing mesh networks in open80211s?
I'm able to see peer link open and mesh path selection packages (with filters wlan_mgt.fixed.cat_code == 30 and 32, as described in http://www.o11s.org/trac/wiki/HOWTO ) but how can I see the beacons?
I'm using Wireshark 1.02 with mesh patch (0.2.1) in Ubuntu 9.04 with compat-wireless and A-link WL54USB (zydas zd1211rw) with capture interface wmaster0.
Thanks for your time,
- Petri
