Do the dots in that picture correspond to the ASCII '.' character (hex 2e)? Or is EtherDetect showing bytes that are neither printable ASCII or printable characters in some unknown one-byte Windows character set - for example, bytes with hex values between 0x00 and 0x1f, or between 0x80 and 0x9f - as dots?

This is useful for copy/pasting something like, say, the Yahoo protocol, and using it to sign in.

How do you use it to sign in?
