All of my executables got built in the c:\wireshark directory. That is where I execute them from.
This is the way it has worked prior to the latest wireshark changes. I actually installed an executable version of Wireshark and those files are in Program
data….
Please note, that wireshark runs, but when I go to edit/preferences, that is when the error occurs.

Here is what is in config.nmake: INSTALL_DIR=wireshark-gtk2
Here is the path and the file: C:\wireshark\wireshark-gtk2\share\glib-2.0\schemas\gschemas.compiled
Hi,
did you try to run c:\wireshark\wireshark-gtk2\wireshark.exe as Bill suggested?
On Windows, after building you are supposed to execute the binaries from INSTALL_DIR.
