Ok, what about exporting to mysql database instead of CSV? This is a worthy addition i guess. It will really turn wireshark into VOIP monitoring tool for large networks. I can create reports from mysql db. Excel is ugly as hell for a programmer.

Hi,

Don't waste your time on (1). This problem is technically solved.
But it's a license issue. G.729 decoders are subject to licence fees. Therefore Wireshark (as an open source project) will never include G.729 playback. (Well, in the foreseable future that is)
There are more or less legal ways to circumvent the problem.
Just google for "Wireshark g729".

Lars

Subject: [Wireshark-dev] Adding features in VOIP analysis

I'm looking for following features 1. g729 support for VOIP calls(playback) 2. exporting call quality record to SQL

These features are not available in wireshark. If i want to develop them, what specific things i should i know before attempting it. wireshark codebase is big, so any specific information will be very helpful.
