Paul,

did this error appear after a long time you were capturing? Which version of WinPcap are you using? The error comes directly from WinPcap (and from its kernel driver, most probably).

Have a nice day

Subject: [Wireshark-dev] Popup message

Sorry, this is not a great deal of help to you, but I am do what was requested.

I am running a continual network monitor cycling log files to try to identify router crashing problems and found the following popup had appeared:

"Error while capturing packets: read error: PacketReceivePacket failed

Please report this to the Wireshark developers.  (This is not a crash;
please do not report it as such.)"

Sorry ther is no more information.

BTW thanks for GREAT product.

Best regards

Paul Ireland
