Wireshark-dev: [Wireshark-dev] [PATCH] Ability to provide a file that names networks / subnets
From: "Douglas Pratley" <Douglas.pratley@xxxxxxxxxx>
Date: Tue, 13 Feb 2007 15:42:56 -0000

Hi guys

This patch allows the user to provide a file (imaginatively called “subnets”) that specifies the name of subnets during name resolution.

By analogy with manuf/ethers, this allows a partial identification when the actual host name is unavailable.

E.g. 192.168.0.0/24 mysubnet

192.168.0.2 -> mysubnet.2 (192.168.0.2)

Currently only works for IPv4.

Cheers

Doug
