on bug 2270
from Jiri Novak
Hello,
I'm sorry, my comment is not related directly to issue, but to attached
sample...
I'm working on new code for saving payload to .au including all silence. As
one of test samples I used sample attached to this bug.
I found that sample is about 23s long, but when I stored audio to .au, it is
about 32s long.
I was intended that it is bug in my code, but I found that capture file is
strange. When you check absolut time and timestamp change in RTP (which shows
time difference for audio between two packets) e.g. for #9, #303, time
difference is about 6.04 second, but timestamp difference is about 12s. Sample
contain more such skews which extends length of exported sound.
I'm afraid that original devices generated wrong RTP timestamps. Just to know
it...
BTW, current Wireshark code exports the file to .au completely wrong.
Sincerely yours,
Jirka Novak
