I see this on master (I just tested with relatively recent buildbot Version
2.1.0-1030-g4b6d9a7 (v2.1.0rc0-1030-g4b6d9a7 from unknown)). 

I thought this issue regarding OS X had been reported in a previous bug report
but I couldn't find it with a half-hearted search attempt.

There is a workaround for this by refreshing the Interface list.

After enabling or disabling the monitor mode, close the Capture Options dialog,
refresh the interface list (using either "Capture -> Refresh Interfaces" or by
pressing the F5 key) and then reopen to the Capture Options dialog to select
the desired Link-Layer Type.
