That was "by design" in the original Ethereal, and has been continued, but I
don't see any reason *not* to allow multiple packets to be selected.

We'd probably have to change whatever code currently assumes that only one
packet is selected.  If multiple packets are selected, we'd either not display
anything in the packet details pane or, if somebody's *really* ambitious, show
an overlapped display of multiple packet details (like a stack of papers),
along the lines of what Apple's Mail application does in the message pane if
you select more than one mail message in the message list pane, but that's a
bit much to do.

If this were supported, there might be some operations that could apply to all
selected packets.  We could also allow copying the summaries of multiple
packets or of multiple lines in the detail display (resulting in a text
selection that could be pasted).
