Same error with dumpcap:

tim@LOKI:~$ dumpcap -i wlan0 -w /tmp/dumpcaptest.pcapng
Capturing on 'wlan0'
File: /tmp/dumpcaptest.pcapng
Packets: 1439863 dumpcap: An error occurred while writing to the file to which
the capture was being saved
("/tmp/dumpcaptest.pcapng"): File too large.
Please report this to the Wireshark developers.

Running the tcpdump command now, but northing's really happening.
