Bug 7339 was recently closed as a duplicate of bug 1445. Part of the problem,
I believe, with the bug being open for so long even though the feature has been
available for over 7 years is that the subnets file, along with the services
file, is not documented in the Wireshark man page. (The other part of the
problem is just user error on my part.)

This bug is opened to track the lack of proper documentation in the man page
for those 2 files, namely subnets and services. Compare the list of files in
the User Guide at
https://www.wireshark.org/docs/wsug_html/#ChAppFilesConfigurationSection with
those documented in the "Files" section of the Wireshark man page, and you can
see that those 2 files are missing from the man page.
