If you have network drives mounted, the Qt "file open" dialog box might try to
access the network drives, which implicitly causes it to try to access the
network.

There is nothing that requires packet capture in order for Wireshark to access
the network.  It could be trying to resolve IP addresses...

...or it could be trying to, as indicated, access files on a network drive.
