I don't know if it makes sense to me...  Honestly if you're looking for
checksum errors I'd think you should have checksum offload disabled.  I
wouldn't think you'd be able to find a real checksum error with offloading
enabled.

Typically the way I work is: I leave checksums disabled and when I have a
problem (generally a retransmission) which I can't explain, I'll turn on
checksums quickly to check that angle.  After all the chances of actually
having a real checksum error is so infintesimally small I generally ignore it.
