Sometimes, this behavior is quite useful though, because it keeps the time
references in plain sight when having a filter applied. Maybe an option could
be added to the preferences to toggle this behavior. 

I agree that time reference packets should be hidden if the filter
"!(frame.ref_time)" explicitly forces them to.
