This is becoming a useless discussion.
You have been explained numerous time the rationale behind this change, why the
script was wrong since the beginning (triggering a warning, then an error) and
the simple 1 line fix needed. You must accept that there are API changes
between major Wireshark versions. It has already happened in the past, and will
happen in the future.
Personally I find the fact that Wireshark disables a dissector because it
contains errors perfectly acceptable, and I would be ok to close this bug. But
I will let other LUA experts decide.
If you do not want to perform this simple change on your side and prefer
waiting ages before we change something on our side, it's up to you. You can
also stick to a 3 years old Wireshark if you want.
