I downloaded v1.8.5 from wireshark.org, unpacked wireshark, patched wireshark,
built and installed wireshark; all with no complaints from my
Ubuntu 12.10 machine. But when I try to start wireshark the program bails
showing a text box (also in terminal) with this error:
ERROR:about_dlg.c:271:splash_update: assertion failed: (ul_sofar <= ul_count)
The patch I applied adds the capability to sniff digital radio signals. I
attached the patch.
