Can we please get a fix on this bug Gerald? I really like wireshark but it
keeps freezing / window locking on me when running a simple capture.
I am on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit AMD Phenom II X6 Black 1090T, 16GB RAM
GA-880G UD3H mobo w Realtek RTL8168D NIC linked up at 100Mb
When starting a capture, even on very low packet throughput on the LAN (say < 1
packet/sec) the Wireshark windows keeps freezing, goes completely unrepsonsive
and doesnt update the packet display window.
The only way I can recover is to use Windows Task Manager then it seems to jump
back to life for a while, then the window locks up again. Essentially Wireshark
is unusable and flakey.
I would really like to see a fix for this one please!
Regards
Neil
