Running on Linux 2.6.35.10-74.fc14.x86_64, with libpcap version 1.1.1, with

--
epan/expert.h, unlike most of the header files in epan/, doesn't have the
standard
#ifdef __cplusplus
extern "C" {
#endif /* __cplusplus */

blocks allowing linking to work properly (by turning off name mangling) when a
C++ compiler/linker is used. If someone writes a C++ plugin, it will fail at
the linking stage with unresolved symbols.

Simple patch to follow.
