This is a worthwhile change but while making changes in this area it would also
be worth performing some character substitution in order that more saves would
be successful.  At the moment any page with a "?" in the URL will fail to save.
 This is quite a frequent occurrence.  e.g. /images.asp?image=dsc00001.jpg

So just replacing "?" with "_" would allow many more pages to save
successfully.
