I agree with the above comments.

However: one needs to be very careful and examine the specific usages.

For instance, in packet-giop.c a quick look suggests that 4 out the 6 g_malloc
usages cannot be ep or se since the storage is allocated/used at Wireshark
initialization and is used until Wireshark exits.
