I wrote the original iSeries to handle both single and double byte output, so your trace should be a ok as it is, I did however discover recently that the format of the output could differ depending on how the spool file is moved to the PC. There are a number of fixes to the iSeries wiretap in the current SVN version that address these differences so you might want to try the latest development version, or if you prefer send me a copy of your trace and I'll confirm whether it can be read or not.
