It can't do this at the moment.  If you want to do it, you will need to add the audio decode and output code yourself (it's not a phone tapping program).

Subject: [Ethereal-users] packet sniffer question

To whom it may concern,

I have downloaded your open source Ethereal packet sniffer program to possibly use for a senior design project.  Our project concerns internet telephony and I was wondering if the packet sniffer can be used to decode UDP/RTP/IP voice over internet packets and the resulting data be output immediately from a PC speaker.  We would like the system to be real time since it concerns telephony and we would like to have voice outputed through the speaker rather than saved in a file to be played later.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Deborah Solomon
