I tried to run Ethereal from the command line and got this result:

NetTechs-eMac:/dev kimy$ /sw/bin/ethereal

(ethereal:16862): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
NetTechs-eMac:/dev kimy$

Any ideas?
