Hi Chester,
the trace is interesting. we have changed the code in the SVN such
that you now see correctly
4 associations:
3 which are setup and terminated by ABORTs
1 where you only see heartbeating going on.
Please give it a try.
However, the server should not send back the error chunk but should
put the unrecognized
parameter in the INIT-ACK chunk.
Best regards
Michael

Sure,
This is traffic between a cisco bts10200 and a cisco ITP. The
ITP appears to have a bug that is causing the link to fail. The
capture decodes ok and I can look at everything just when I try to
use sctp specific functions it fails. Please let me know if you
need more info.

Do you have an example capture I can use to test and reproduce
this with?

libcap version 0.8.3 on darwin 7.9.0
open the cap file OK, choose statistics>SCTP...either choice

causes ethereal to quit with the cap I am looking at(Unix snoop
capture).
Running on mac G5
OSX 10.3.9
I don't see a core or anything, it just disappears.
Please let me know if you need more info or if this is a know issue.
