Hi,
I don't know much about Fedora but you can run up2date or check out:

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/3/i386/

In fedora 3 there is ethereal-0.10.10-1.FC3.1.i386..> and ethereal-gnome-0.10.10-1.FC3...>
There might be a lot of dependencies...
Best regards
Anders

Subject: [Ethereal-users] Trouble in getting interface to capture
packets.

Hello,
I am using Fedora OS. I am trying to capture packet
using ethereal. I am not getting any interface to
select. Does anyone have faced the same problem?. Can
any one of you help how to rectify the same?.

I am having the below s/w installed with ethreal

ethereal 0.9.13
Compiled with GTK+ 1.2.10, with GLib 1.2.10, with
libpcap 0.7.2, with libz 1.1.4,
with Net-SNMP 5.0.9, without ADNS
Running on Linux 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl

I feel all of these are latest one when compared with
the one available in www.ethereal.com/download.html

thanks & regards
