Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] Repetition in trace file - or - Signal channel info only - Why?

      I have a laptop with promiscuous card inserted on a 3550 switch. The
port has been defined to mirror all activity flowing through another port
which is setup to handle all of our VoIP connections. When I look at the
trace after words I get two different scenarios: (In each case I know there
are several calls occurring)
1st- The trace, once converted to RTP, will show several lines of voice
activity but when I convert these to wav files they are all the same
conversation. With a trace of only 3 minutes I can get a call replicated 40
or more times.

2nd - The trace once converted to RTP will have no voice traffic in it at
all - only signalling channel info.

      Any ideas why this is occurring ????
