But the Ethereal User's Guide gives more than one option how to pronounce it:

'Some people pronounce it ether-real, while others pronounce it e-the-real, as in ghostly, insubstantial, etc.
You are welcome to call it what you like, as long as you find it useful. The FAQ gives the official pronounciation as
"e-the-real". '
