This is Karthika. I am working for Satyam . In our current project we
are using Ethereal source code.
I want help for the problem I am facing while capturing the Messages.
Currently my task is to capture SMTP messages and write them into
seperate files(I create).
Example : If I send 2 mails and suppose ethereal is capturing those
messages , Now I have to create
2 files having these 2 mails seperately.
The process I followed is using Conversation->Index value. According
to my understanding, dissect_smtp method
creates a new conversation->index value for each session(each mail).
Every Message has a EHLO and
"Closing connection" as response parameters accordingly.
Now my problem starts here. I am creating files when ever I find a
new conversation Index and write by checking the
conversation->index value. But when I am attaching 2 doc files(large
size) , it is creating 2 different files in which
first file has part of the attachment and second message file has
the rest.
My Question is WHY IS IT CREATING 2 DIFFERENT Conversation->index
values.
Could anyone help me in this regard. It is very urgent. My Module
submission date is tomarrow and till now
I didnt face any problem when I was attaching mails of certain size.
As the message size increases,
it is creating a new file. Y??
I am not sure, if this is the right place to post my message. But
who ever is reviewing it, could you post it at the proper place
so that I could get the solution immediately.
