Hi,

I have ethereal installed on laptop running Mandrake 10, we have RPM ethereal-0.10.5-0.1.100mdk loaded.
I'm running it from user level privilege via SUDO with ethereal configured in SUDOERS to run it at root privilege.
My script starts two iterations of ethereal, each monitoring one of my ethernet ports (eth0 & eth1).

The application works well, I have run it overnight.
When working it's a dream using it!!

Sometimes when starting it up I get a freeze in one or both ethereal panes (see jpg link). The capture window continues to update but the pane has no text or icons. On closing (clicking X) gives me an error message (see jpg link). The message is { ... Window with title (Live Capture in Progress) - Ethereal" is not responding ... }

Any ideas?

Thanks Gary

PS: While here, is there a command line switch to stop the ethereal-capture pane from coming up? I see there is now tick box in the capture form, I looking for it's corresponding switch.
