Hmmm.. I have heard that MS removed support for TCP sends over raw sockets
w/ SP2
Don't think that should affect ethereal / snort (but it will hose nmap!)

I'm being cautious about applying SP2 until I hear more. I know IBM (for
example) is also taking a wait and see approach (it broke many of their
internal web pages!)

Hi.

Someone has reported problems running ethereal (and snort, as well) on
windows XP Service Pack 2. Has anyone here experienced problems capturing
packets AFTER having installed XPSP2??
