 Thanks for replying! I understand the above reasoning but the fact is that
currently it is impossible to use ethereal for monitoring an IMAP session
which is a pity -- I'll have to be using another tool to do it for now.

 I still think that an option to display all lines of an IMAP reply would
be useful as well -- if it is an option and is off by default I don't think
it could negatively affect any existing programs/scripts. But, again, any
solution at all to this problem would be welcome.
