I don't think so, because Ethereal's Packet Capturing Library (e.g. Libpcap
/ WinPcap) can only capture networkpackets. If you are using 2 network
programs on the same computer there aren't any packets generated.
Do a ping on 127.0.0.1 (loopback) and you will see that no packets have been
generated.

why not configurating the applications with 2 diffrent IPs on 2 computers?
