I tried below methods but all failed to build static ethereal, when I use
the ethereal it 
always complain that the lib not found.

1. ./configure --enable-static
     make

2. ./configure
     edit Makefile and uncomment the lines:
        ethereal_LDFLAGS = -Wl,-static -all-static
        #ethereal_LDFLAGS = -export-dynamic
    make

but all failed.

Anyone can give me a hint?
